Yeah, I too got hooked early -- addicted, you might say -- on motorcycles, buying my first (Honda 90) when I was 17. That was damned near 60 years ago, and other than one 3 year stretch after I broke my left leg in two (literally) between the knee and ankle, then spent 9 months on crutches and had to sell my Honda 305 Superhawk, Yamaha R-5 350, and a 500 cc Velocette Thruxton. But two years after throwing those crutches away, I spotted a brand new Honda 400-4 with low bars in the local shop (in Santa Cruz) and simply had to have it. That bike took me to LA before finally giving way to a 500 Honda Ascot single, which in turn moved on when I threw a leg over my current ride, a Suzuki 400 SM. I don't ride it much these days -- just short rides on days when everything is just right ... but I still love that feeling of being one with the machine. It's almost like flying.
